School-
The school I teach at is amazing. It is called the Sosny Private School. We live in Sosny…figures. haha. We actually don’t live in Moscow. It is anywhere from a15/45 min bus ride to the city, because of traffic. It’s nice because it is cleaner and there are more trees.
Sosny School is incredible!!! It is a private school, so it is fairly wealthy. Irena is the principle there. It is very Russian, with the carpets and structure. There are so many hallways and turns it’s easy to get lost. It is kid friendly with lots of sweet paintings. The staff all loves us, the students as well. Everyone is excited to have us here. They have security gauds at the school that guard the outside. . Veronica is one of the native teachers at the school, who teaches English. She helps translate if we need it. Jamie, one of my roommates, went on a mission to the Ukraine. She speaks enough Russian to get by, and translates for us too.
Peter is a driver for the school, as well as a financial adviser. He speaks some English. He is so funny. He has so many crowns on his teeth that it looks like he has a grill. He smokes, like everyone else in Russia, so we smell like smoke after being in his car. He picked us up from the airport, drove us to and from the school for a day, and took us to Moscow once. Now we take the bus, but it was nice to have a driver to help us the first two days. He helped us take our junk to the apartment and set up the Internet.
